Paper Lantern Gin is a modern gin inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asia. It is the first product of Paper Lantern Distilling, a craft spirits brand headquartered in Singapore. The base spirit is made in-house at the distillery from rice, offering a unique grain-to-glass experience. Moving away from commercially sourced neutral grain spirits gives Paper Lantern Gin a noticeable silkiness when you take your first sip.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Transparent
Body: Meltiness and Juniper forward.
Nose: Juniper is there and yet still balanced with fried Asian spices, earthiness from the rich galangal come through.
Mid Palate: Substantial base flavour of grain, smooth and mellow rounded with slight sweetness of honey.
Finish: Longstanding finish with hints of exotic Sichuan peppercorn, makhwaen pepperorn, lemongrass and juniper.
